keeping it classy

I was home when news came out about the horrific shootings at Fort Hood. As information came in, the newscasters promised that obama had been informed and would be addressing the situation soon. Of course I waited for that moment with great anticipation. (I'm lying) However, never in a million years would I think that the leader of our nation and the boss of the military would be such an insensitive...man. Ok, I realize that he was going to be in a meeting for some Native American whatever, but he hadn't started his speach yet when he took the stage. Now, most people, I think, would say something along the lines of "I realize we are meeting today for *fill in the blank* however, I have just been informed that tragedy has struck our nation..." Oh no, not obama! I waited to post this, because frankly I hoped I had heard it wrong and wanted to see if anyone else caught it. Unfortunately, I heard it right, and someone else did catch it. He gave "shout-outs" to his homies before even eluding to the fact that something was wrong! This isn't the Oscars, you don't get to thank your mom before you deliver pertinent information. President Bush may have had some grammatical issues, but at least he had his priorities set in the right order!
